Our Team → Polyvios Karachontzitis, CEO of Atai, brings over three decades of expertise in Project and Construction Management to the table.
Polyvios Karachontzitis – CEO
Born in Thessaloniki, Greece, and raised in Toronto, Canada, Polyvios has cultivated a diverse portfolio spanning high-profile projects across various sectors.
His extensive experience encompasses notable projects in industrial, infrastructure, commercial, aviation, and military domains. From the USA to the Middle East, as well as Central and South Eastern Europe, Polyvios has left his mark on construction landscapes worldwide.
With a keen eye, Polyvios has spent over ten years dedicated to the hospitality sector. He spearheaded the construction of Greece's first AMAN Resort, the iconic AMANZOE, followed by the creation of the magnificent AMANZOE Villa 20, the largest villa in the AMAN Resorts and Mediterranean region. Polyvios, then, served as the Project Director for the prestigious AMANVARI Resort in Mexico.
Polyvios is also a distinguished academic, holding a diploma and a BSc degree in Civil Engineering from Lakehead University, an MSc in Civil Environmental Engineering from Newcastle University, and an MBA from ALBA (Athens Laboratory of Business Administration).
He is also a certified PRINCE2 and Management of Risk (MoR) practitioner and a proud member of the Technical Chamber of Greece.
